I am not a drinker of beer in general for various reasons, so I don't know much about the craft brews here locally. But I know that NWA and Fayetteville has gone crazy for local brews the past 5-6 years. They are everywhere.
What's your favorite?
I just found this article about a new little documentary focusing on the local brewing scene.

I'm a big fan of Fossil Cove. Grab yourself a couple of Paleo Ales and then stumble on over to Bottom's Up* and you are guaranteed a memorable night.

I've had their brown ale and really liked it.

Paleo Ale is the only one I have had so far. I visited their brewery last time I was in town, but I didn't have time to sample many of their different styles. Maddie's Place in Little Rock has their Paleo Ale on tap, so I always make a point to order it as much as possible when I am there.

I have successfully changed this topic from craft beer to strip clubs. You're all very welcome.

Ozark Beer Company in Rogers is my favorite. Their IPA, Stout, and Belgian are excellent. The IPA is my go to and can hold its own against some of the more well known brews from Avery, Stone, etc.
As for the Fayetteville breweries, I like Fossil Cove. The Paleo Pale and the Brown are both very good as well.

I'm jealous. Central Florida is huge and yet it's notorious for its shitty craft beer selection. We've got one absolutely fantastic brewery in Tampa (Cigar City) that stocks the rest of central Florida pretty well but there's not much beyond that

This. Know one of the guys from my frat back in the day.
I also like Core pretty well. Haven't tried Fossil Cove or Apple Blossom yet.
Saddlebock just isn't that good IMHO, tried several, liked none really

Agree with your thought on Saddlebock. Core is kind of hit or miss in my opinion. As far as consistent good product goes, I don't think anyone in NWA is even close to what OBC is putting out.

There's a good opportunity to sample a bunch of the craft brews this weekend along with some crawfish. Its called Ales and Tails at the Fayetteville town center this Saturday.Tickets are online only. Here is the online description:
"On March 29, 2014 from 5-9 PM, the first annual Ales & Tails Festival will be held at the Town Center in Fayetteville. Ales & Tails Festival celebrates local and regional craft breweries and Louisiana crawfish. It is coordinated by the owners of local restaurants Jammin Java and Café Rue Orleans.
“Mud Bug Garden” Tickets are $25 each. Ticket holders will receive a wristband to claim a pound of boiled crawfish, beer samples, and a souvenir pilsner glass. Additional boiled crawfish may be purchased for $10 a pound.
“VIP” tickets are $45 each. Ticket holders will gain access to the main hall where they can sample numerous crawfish dishes prepared by local restaurants, including: Café Rue Orleans, Hammontree’s, Tyler’s House Catering, Early Bird Catering, Apple Blossom Brewing Company, Meiji, Z’s Brick Oven Pizza and Jammin Java. VIP ticket holders will also receive a wristband for access to the Mud Bug Garden to claim a pound of boiled crawfish, beer samples, and a souvenir pilsner glass.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the local ALS Association Northwest Arkansas Chapter. ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, is a fatal, neurological disease with no cure. This is a meaningful and worthwhile cause to the event creators as each have friends whose lives are affected by ALS."

Those crawfish prices are outrageous lol, one pound is nothing when it comes to actual meat

I liked Saddlebock's Java stout. Fat Boy Blue is good too

Yea, If we have some big eaters we usually cook about 5 pounds per person just to make sure we dont get shortchanged.
