Who's a better coach: Mike or Andy?

I hate this question cause I really don't like either, and they both are classic under achievers. Mike has way more going for him. The separating fact is that our facilities in baseball are upper tier, verses our bottom feeder basketball facilities. That is the tie breaker for me. Andy gets the nod.

I have to respectfully disagree with you there, Yancy. Bianco has a solid program that is a perennial postseason team. Andy is just getting by.

I just look at their postseason histories

You guys hate Rod Barnes and he took you to 3 tourneys in 8 years. Half of you seem to like Andy Kennedy and he has taken you to 1 tourney in 8 seasons.

Kennedy. Bianco has been given the facilities and fan support to compete with anyone in the country in a sport at which the northern schools can't compete. Kennedy has a turd of a facility, w/ little history or fan support, in a sport that the whole country cares about. Both should be on the hot seat, but we give them raises and extend contracts. If we could get White, i would be fine w/ firing Kennedy today (but otherwise let him stay w/ no extension). Bianco should have been fired last year.

with Rob Evans' players. Barnes then took us to some miserable seasons.

If you ask me which 8 seasons I take, I take Barnes 8 seasons every time.

Yeah...you made 3 tournaments including a sweet 16. I will take that over a handful of meaningless NIT appearances and the one NCAA appearance.

you keep saying this.....as if you're completely ignoring 4 straight losing seasons after Rob's players were gone.
By the same logic, Jackie Sherrill should still be coaching MSU regardless of him only winning 8 games over a three year span...ending with a 2-10 record. Who cares that you only won 2 games his last season......SEC WEST TITLE LIFETIME CONTRACT!!!!

Mike easily IMO. When he got here Swayze was a goat ranch and we were arguably the worst baseball program in the SEC. Now we are one of the better programs and have some of the best facilities in the country. Bianco's one flaw is he can't get us to Omaha.

I never thought anyone would try to make a more ignorant argument than the "shoulda never fired Cutcliff hurrdurrr"....
....but this one does it.

I am not saying Barnes should have kept his job. I am just saying his tenure was more successful than Kennedy's.
You will miss the next two NCAA tournaments and Kennedy will be fired. You will have had a coach that made one NCAA tournament in 10 years, and you loved him for it.

Here is the big difference in these two scenarios. When Barnes left (fired), he left the program in a lot shittier shape than he found it. Kennedy has done a lot more (facilities wise especially)and will have left us in better shape than Barnes if what you say happens.

for a tenure to be successful, it needs to actually improve. That's why it's called a "tenure".
His first four seasons were a success. His tenure was a failure. AK's tenure has been consistent. Can't say successful but it hasn't been a failure. He's still yet to take us to below 500 overall and a 4 or 5 win conference record.....not even once. Barnes did that four times in a row.

Kennedy is getting credit for the new stadium? Couldn't it be that the Tad Pad is around 50 years old?
