Tony Barbee's last game was getting blown out of the tournament by the gamecocks.
Best basketball program does not mean best this year. If you notice they have UK at #1 eventhough UF was better this year.

14. Auburn
Why the hell would Pearl go to the worst basketball school in the SEC? Zero talent nearby, fans don't care about bball, 9k seat gymnasium, etc, etc.
I wish a school like Tennessee or Mizzou would have hired him out of the SEC so he could live up to his potential.
This is just like your rant on Auburn football and the new coaching hires just a year ago. I believe you said Arkansas and Tennessee were better hires before and during the season.

More elite talent, yes. Atlanta produces a higher quantity.
You are so wrong, it is absurd

You must learn to respect everyone's opinion.

USC has, by far, the worst program in the SEC.

When was the last time any of those teams above Auburn were ranked #1 in the country?

In recent years Memphis has produced more high end talent.
Memphis has produced Austin Nichols, Jarnell Stokes, Joe Jackson, Robert Hubbs, Adonis Thomas, Joe Jackson. All 5 stars in the past few years. Not to mention guys like Chris Crawford, Hollins at Minnesota,
What elite players have come out of ATL in that timeframe?

Maybe in the last 2 years, but if we're talking all time we are at least top half of the league

Yes and it is gonna stay this way for a while. The local AAU teams have apparently been dominating on the national scaled even all the way down to the youth levels. Tennessee in general is big basketball state talent wise normally.
Memphis is a consistent top 25 team and have a roster made up of like 90% Memphis kids.
I think I saw Pearl at my high school at least once a week to talk to one of my teammates, who ended up at UNC.

We're too low.
1. We have one of the top three coaches in the league
2. We're in the Carolinas, a region known for basketball greatness
3. We won the ACC that one time.
Easily a top five program.

He also has a high school teammate that played at Duke and Memphis named Elliot Williams who is in the NBA right now.
Y'all also got a 4 star from Memphis in Johnathon Williams III
Thaddeus Young is another big name

How old are you? 11?
Carolina is easily at the bottom with Ole Miss.
