Why is it strange? The man wanted to serve his country and that was more important to him than football. The game isn't what life is about for some people.

Just strange dropping the opportunity to make millions. That doesn't happen often. I know he didn't love the game anymore, but come on how many people hate their jobs? I admire him for going after his dream. Not enough of us do that.
