Haven't heard much yet. Once scrimmages start we will get a better look.

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter. Mauk will play. Printz will probably transfer if I had to bet. The rest is lip service. We haven't had a true QB competition since Chase.

Apparently not as good as Berkstresser. Berk trying to make a run at the starting spot this spring.

Serious question. Have you seen reports on this? I'm assuming the practices have been restricted to media again because the info I've found has been scant. Was really curious how some of the positions have been looking, not just QB. TIA

Coach Hill said this is the best Berk has ever looked. With that being said, no chance in hell he starts over MM. The team (players) feel like Mauk is their guy and expect him to start.

That can be a dangerous game for both Mizzou and Printz.

Saying it is the best Berk has ever looked is a lot different than saying Berk is better than Mauk or Printz. I agree, not a chance he moves ahead of Mauk.

I don't disagree. Mizzou will continue to say the right things, but I would bet behind closed doors the decision is made. What will be interesting is if Mauk gets hurt, and Printz lights it up, what the staff does. I like Mauk and think he's capable of producing some highlight tapes, but I also think his gunslinger mentality will cost us at times. If it's too much of the latter and not enough of the former, it will be interesting to see how long they stick with it.

Perfectly put.
On a side note, I always thought Berk was written off too quickly.
The shitty thing about college football vs a 162 game baseball season is you don't have time to let things shake themselves out. If you go with Mauk the only way he gets unseated is if things go bad and we likely suffer losses.

Not completely sure I agree. Whoever is 1 and 2 will stay because both will get minutes; granted #2 will only get a couple of series each game but he will heavily involved with film work, practice with the #1 offense, etc. What do we care (not being a dick) who is 3, 4 or 5 and if they transfer or not? Yes it would be nice to have a "bank" of good QBs but I doubt we'd ever need to rely on #3 or 4 on the depth chart (hopefully I didn't just jinx us )

What is wrong? you think he could do it?
And lets wait for Printz to pass Berk on the depth chart before discussing Printz's future.

Printz already passed him once in his career. Not sure why Berk was automatically thrown back in front of Printz going into the spring.

And then what happens when Drew Lock shows up on campus and automagically becomes King Mauk's heir apparent? Does the passed-over Prince (see what I did there?) stick it out as the #2 his whole college career?

You post a lot of stupid shite on this board. Printz passed Berk when Berk had a knee injury and was out for the rest of the season and REMOVED from the depth chart.
Do you even follow Mizzou sports?

Some of you are goofballs.
I'm not getting on the Berk wagon, but to say he's terrible and looked overwhelmed 2 years ago is insane.
He was a FR and had absolutely no offensive line. I mean, come on.

You can tone it down about 6 notches, thanks.
