Glad to see Mauks completion percentage up. He was a 51% passer last year. If he turns that in to 60% this year it will be deadly

Yes but it's a little sobering.

It may be sobering. But remember, these guys know nothing about any receive on the team except DGB. Last year Washington and Lucas were a surprise to them, and they discounted our chances against more well-know competition. I think we still have very good receivers - just maybe not a superstar. I'm not going to panic about it.

Exactly. When was the last time we didn't have a great receiver corps? We will miss him most as an endzone target IMHO

Our receivers are almost plug 'n play. We will have good receivers. Mauk will have to work a little harder and develop the rapport he had with DGB, but he has time to do this.

He was my fav player to watch, but really hard to say how much its going to hurt. Defenses will be able to get a little more creative without the DGB big play threat.

We'll be ok without DGB, others will step up, but I was looking at the depth chart and Mizzou has the potential to be scary good after next year. Assuming no transfers/injuries/early draft, in 2015 we have all these guys with another years experience:

QB: Mauk/Berk/Printz/Hosick/Zanders/Luck
RB: Hansbrough/Steward/Abbington/Walters/Witter/Strong/Williams
WR: Leftwich/Copelin/Moore/Brown/Blair/Dilosa/Richard/Lee/Ofodile????
TE: Culkin/Reese/Blanton/Hentges????

Maybe it's just me, but that's a lot of fire power with another years worth of experience and I'm probably missing someone, much less other new recruits.

What's the deal with Leftwich? That guys was a burner - think he has been injured for a while though?

Leftwich is scary fast. But he's had the injury bug. If he can stay healthy, he is a threat to run past any DB he'll face. If.

If I had to pick a kid who was a relatively unknown player that finds the field and has an impact, my money would be on walkon WR Otte.

Opened up the Spring Game with a 33 yard reception against the No. 1 defense. Still think this kid finds the field this year.

TOUCHDOWN, MATY MAUK! Kept the option and strolled in from 3 yards out. With 1:27 left in the first half, starters trail 14-13.
