well, he did lose to derek dooley... was that b/c of his coaching or BK's players?... depends on what side of the argument you're on, I guess.

CBJ was rated as a top 10 in-game coach by ESPN last season... I am sure that has nothing to do with his coaching aptitude though.

He lost to an NFL offense, Dooley had little to nothing to do with that.

Neither Butch Jones nor Brian Kelly recruited players good enough to stop Justin Hunter and Da'Rick Rodgers. That's not a knock against either coach - more of a testament to the Cincinnati program.

And to say that Butch lost to Dooley is laughable. He lost to superior talent. Tyler Bray, not know for his intelligence or football acumen, was ignoring the coaching staff and calling his own plays. It was that much of a mismatch.

He also beat a very good Franklin lead Vandy team in their bowl game that lost to Derek Fooley in the same year. See how playing that game doesn't work?
