deeprig: I'm not an expert on defensive scheming and I never played football growing up, so I don't know what's right and what's not. I'm just a fan of the game and watch a lot of it.

With that said, what I saw on the field from the comfort of my couch was confusion, disorganization, misplacement, misalignment, and big plays given up time and time again (including a ton of 3rd and 4th down conversions).

I don't know if what was going on was normal or not, but it didn't appear to be normal to me. I didn't see that kind of commotion in the defensive backfield in any other games I've been watching, either in the NFL or in college. That doesn't prove anything, I know, because I could just have been more observant of our team and what they were doing, but it seemed rather obvious to me that something wasn't right.

Since you seem to be defensive about the criticism thrown at CTG, I'd like it if you could explain to me why what I saw was just my ignorant observation that was not informed by truth. I would like to see a defense of our defense and CTG, specifically how my observations (which appear to be shared by many here) are not well-informed and why criticism of CTG and his defense coaching/scheming is misplaced.
