I hope he's given up message boards and the like for as long as he's actively practicing law.

His "active practice of law" may not be too active in the near future if this is true ...

including one in which he revealed alleged details of confidential proceedings involving actress Charlize Theron's adoption of her son.

That will get him, a) sued, and b) disbarred.

Not necessarily in that order.

He deserves it too. Judges and lawyers with any sense typically save their stories for one another just like doctors, nurses, police, EMTs, professors, and so on often do and even then names and identifying details are often omitted to protect the individual or individuals (and while in some fields you're not supposed to even talk broadly it's understood that this happens and is ok because talking within the field to others in the profession maintains 'radio silence'). And the reason they only talk shop with one another is because they all know it's privileged info they can't reveal and won't reveal to the public.

You don't go to a message board and talk shop when you're in a field where you have an ethical or legal obligation to protect privacy.

Even a school teacher would get into serious trouble for talking about something as trivial as little Tommy Smith pulling Susie's hair and landing in detention or even little Joey Jones being so hyperactive he's a handful because it's understood that this is not to spoken of publicly.
