Yeah, they won't be able to do that. They will either take a coach to task (suspension) if the coach's team does it too much or they will create some sort of rule with a mandatory number of plays an injured player must sit out before he can return to the game. You can't reasonably ask refs to try to differentiate legit injuries from fake.

Agreed. I don't think they will challenge injuries or try to assign motives, suspend coaches, etc. It seems the only way they could realistically address would be to discourage it by requiring players to sit out more plays. That would be a pretty controversial rule to push through to say the least.

I think they should sit out the rest of the drive if they get injured.

That would also mean that Swain would have only missed the play he was injured.
