Yes I do and it is back assward in a 14 seed braket number 1 should get number 14. I also understand that the SEC decided to give byes but it still shouldn't cancel out that fact. The problem is they are still using the same bracket format from the days of the two division and it is screwing it up.

Are you telling me that if Miss State wins two games that UGA at 3 isn't getting an easier game then UF getting Mizz/LSU winner. Yes Mizz has a bad in conference record. They are still a bubble team. Which UGA is not. So UGA gets a very tired MSU team which should be lined up against Florida if they get that lucky. They should do a normal 14 team bracket with 1 and 2 seed betting one bye and that is it.

No they're not. It's all seeded 1-14 without respect to any divisions.

Only way to fix this would be to reseed when the Friday games start, but I don't think they want to go that route.

It isn't much different at all. This can't be done though because you can't play 6 games in one day.

1st Round

8 LSU
9 Mizzou

4 Tennessee
13 S. Carolina

5 Arkansas
12 Auburn

3 UGA
14 Miss State

6 aTm
11 Alabama

7 Ole Miss
10 Vandy

2nd Round

1 Florida
8 LSU/9 Mizzou Winner

4 Tennessee/13 South Carolina Winner
5 Arkansas/12 Auburn Winner

3 UGA/14 Miss State Winner
6 aTm/11 Bama Winner

2 Kentucky
7 Ole Miss/10 Vandy Winner

All seeded tournaments always assume the higher seeds win their games. All seeding advantage is based on that assumption.

The only way around this is to re-seed between rounds to account for upsets.

In the NCAA tourney, for example, the worst team a #1 seed can possibly face in the 2nd round is a #9 seed whereas the worst team a #9 could face is a #16 seed.
