- Trey Williams was the punt returner. That's interesting
Yes please

- Golden and Claiborne did not attend practice (Sumlin said afterwards they were suspended from all team activity)
How long do you think they are suspended for? Interesting that Speedy wasn't punished

Kirby sat out all of last spring and then was suspended for the opener. He was also hurt but officially he was suspended. That would be my guess

Hard to suspend somebody for just being there. Seems a little unfair. I'm sure he had a pretty extensive talk with the staff and all

I know Arnold and Hall are out all spring but don't know the details on the others

AFAIK yes. Sounds like Harrison will also be out all spring
Also, just fyi but Deshazor played exclusively corner today. He was one of the players that did interviews after so I imagine we'll get it straight from his mouth. I'm really interested in how our DBs lined up

Someone on 247 who was there said they had Speedy and RSJ lining up on the same side with Speedy outside and RSJ inside. I found that pretty interesting

They must be pretty confident in Miles, Raven, Victor Davis, etc.

I honestly believe Will Johnson's only purpose is to make Dave South sound better.

And no one can top his weather or game day updates

He's so bad at baseball. Dave is seriously considerably better.

From BZ
quote:
This was really telling from CB Deshazor Everett on new secondary coach Terry Joseph, hired from Nebraska to replace new Boise State defensive coordinator Marcel Yates: “He’s definitely a change. He’s a real vocal coach, and he wants you to do it exactly the way he wants you to do it. And there’s no other way about it. If you don’t do it his way, you’re not going to play. You’ve got to adjust to that, and you’ve got to go out and do it his way.”
CB Deshazor Everett said S Howard Matthews is “a different player now” under new DBs coach Terry Joseph: “He’s not lagging around and doing it his way. He’s going hard every play. He’s being vocal. That’s what we need from the back end, especially from the safeties. Because they have to communicate to everybody on the defense

quote:
Kevin Sumlin on his three quarterbacks battling to replace Johnny Manziel: “You’ve got the old veteran (Matt Joeckel), the young guy who played some last year (Kenny Hill) who obviously now has a sense of urgency, and the new guy (Kyle Allen) who just shows up and threw some great balls today. What I like about them is you see them talking to each other, and (offensive coordinator) Jake (Spavital) is doing a great job with them. They’re being competitive but not combative. They’re helping each other.
