I can objectively say that it is a stupid move, not because of a bias towards LSU. I don't care if it was UGA, AU, even Bama. A stupid move it stupid. If you took off your purple and gold glasses maybe you could see how ridiculous this looks. There is a reason that the mainstream media believes it's crazy to have eighth graders commit. Let eighth graders be eighth graders, and stop rushing the process in hopes that it will get you ahead.
Can you say definitively that he will be the best quarterback for LSU in 2018? What if this kid hits a ceiling early and there are three other quarterbacks that are better than him and interested in LSU? What if Cam is no longer there in 2018 and the new OC likes someone else better? Too many unknowns this early in the process.

Actually, I thought it was ridiculous myself until I listened to Matt Moscona's show yesterday. This kid's uncle, Ty Detmer, called in to Moscona's show and talked about it.

If you think this kid is just like an average 8th grade football player, that's a mistake on your part, not a poor reflection on LSU.
