Ummm, where do you guys come up with this?
He didnt get an invite, he asked to speak to the rules committee, which they said is out of the ordinary, but has happened in the past. They said most coached just send a letter if they have something to say.

My mistake. Still doesn't change my opinion that it's not a big deal. Honestly I care so little about this issue I hadn't really read up on it until you corrected me. I don't care because Saban has no vote and can't decide on a rule change. It's not his rule and he didn't propose it.

No he's not. He went and spoke to the rules committee. Pushing for it would be holding multiple press conferences demanding change. Maybe our definition of "pushing" is just different.
