This isn't a mineral deficiency, this is self inflicted. The blue guy rubbed homemade colloidal silver on his skin and ingested tons of it. Silver has a long history of turning people blue.

Colloidal silver is a homeopathic antimicrobial that has been used for 1000s of years. It isn't very effective, but people will believe anything.

Yes I cheated with the pic of the guy on top pics as he indeed got his by rubbing silver. However the "Blue Fugates" of Kentucky got their blue tinted skin not from silver but from Methemoglobinemia as I understand it. It is supposed to be hereditary and the Fugates' isolation and resulting propensity to marry within their own family tree sometimes was part of what promulgated it for them supposedly. As far as I know the second blue person pic of the old lady in the much older photo may be one of the latter, as it mentions that there were still some Blue Fugates in KY through the 1960s that were known of at least...

The blue people of Ky were using this but the Missouri fan already explained it.
