Everybody loves the shiny new toy. Harris is a great back. Go watch high school film of Tyren Jones, Kenyan Drake, Derrick Henry, and Bo Scarbrough.

If you were to watch the tapes without knowing who was whom, I would probably rank them Drake, Jones, Scarbrough, Henry, Harris

That isn't a knock on Harris because they were all ridiculous in high school, I just think it's easy to forget when we get a commitment from a great player that most of the roster is full of great players. You can only play 11 at a time.

I don't expect Harris to play much on offense next year. He's stepping into our most loaded position.

'15- Henry, Drake, Jones
'16- Jones, Scarbrough, Harris
'17- Harris, Flowers, guy not on roster.

How I see the carries being divided up if everyone were to remain healthy. There will be carries had by guys not listed in backup time, but even our 3rd back has been used sparingly recently. Upchurch and Drake have been the only guys to touch the ball as our third back, and Drake was more of a 2B option than a third option.

If I had to rank them on HS film. I understand kentucky football in general is a joke. But henry played jokes as well. Jones played the toughtest competition. Drake 2nd. Yeldon played the toughest imo and I would rank him first coming out but hes gone.

Based on film without judging who they're playing:

Henry
Harris
Jones
Drake

Knowing who their playing:

Henry
Jones
Drake
Harris

Henry would have done what he did just about to anyone besides like hoover and the power HS.

Stlye means a lot in our system and I think we were missing that back who would hit the hole balls to the wall this season along with lack of physicality. Harris brings light of mark Ingram back with better speed. Doubt he will stay on his feet as well as mark but he hits the hole just as hard and has better speed. Harris doesn't have quite the power of Ingram either but is a better outside runner. His ability to appear like he's going all the way to the sideline to cut up and then cut on a dime and jet up field in reverse angle is the best I've seen out of anyone since eddie Lacy.

Tenpenny's future looks bleak but he had decent film but probably the worst imo. He was a show case and sparq warrior. Does look good when he gets in the game I have to say though.

Yeah I would rate Harris' film behind Drake's senior film and Tyren's junior film, but none of it really matters anyway. Depth chart will largely be determined by knowledge of the playbook, ball security, pass protection, and work ethic in practice...basically earning the coaches' trust
