You would think playing in the title series 3 of the last 4 years and winning it twice would count for something. I mean our worst year as of late was losing game 3 of a Super Regional on the road to the #1 seed in a season where we lost a ton of old talent including the most decorated pitched to come thru SC. All that and we still aren't worthy of being a top 10 team a whole 1 spot ahead of MSU.

If past success were the measuring stick, there would be a lot of programs more worthy than South Carolina.

That said, this ranking reflects the opinion of 2 guys who both live in the Triangle and see nothing but ACC games all year. Fitt and Manuel combined may see half these teams play before Selection Monday. Manuel will see UNC and everyone who plays at UNC. This ranking really isn't even worth talking about.

Very serious.

You shouldn't be getting any Bertman...errr...Tanner "bumps" anymore. What did Holbrook show in year 1 that was in any way superior to what Smoke Laval showed -- which is who I've compared him to from the beginning? That's not to take anything away from Holbrook, he may very well prove to be "the guy", but it is VERY hard to follow a generational legend that quits while on top -- and Smoke is the only recent example of that.

- You lost 3 of 4 to MSU last year.
- You went out early in the SEC tourney that both other teams went deep in(incl a loss to us)
- You went out in the SR round while both of us went to Omaha and we stuck around awhile. You lost a road Super -- we won a road Super convincingly over this #1.
