Mason isn't going to be what we hope for. He can't make reads worth a damn and locks on to one receiver when others are more than open. And don't give us any BS about the comeback against GT - its GT for pete's sake...my grandmother could throw for 300+ against them. Some of you are giving him WAY to much credit.

What??!? You mean to tell me that he does the SAME DAMN THING MURRAY DID FOR FOUR YEARS?!?! Aaron went with a pre-snap read 90% of the time and more often than not ended up staring that guy down.

Now I do hope Mason gets away from that because I'm not sure he possesses the accuracy that Aaron did, but it isn't as bad as you make it out.

Also, why are you railing on a kid for this when he has played maybe 2.5 games in college? He has an entire offseason for Bobo to focus on him now, which he has never had before. He'll be fine, he has a ton of talent and experience around him.

If Mason is a total flop, then we'll probably start using a Bauta/Ramsey rotation that'll become more just Ramsey. The rest of the SEC should just hope that Mason is good enough, you don't want to see Ramsey lining up across from you.

I'm far more concerned about how the defense performs out of the gate.

You think that's probably because he has only played in two games? You think Mike Bobo and Mark Richt won't fix that? No, surely all his bad habits will stay the same with a year of reps.
