Hopefully for the next 220 days.

I'd like to know exactly what the cops said and how they said it. Before we condemn TB, I wanna know how aggressive the cops were. If they weren't asking in a respectful manner, no one should expect TB to respond in one. If the TPD's statement is true, TB fricked up and it's on him and he should have handled it differently, but that's all just talk because 9/10 people would probably respond in the same way IF (key word IF) it was a dick cop.

Would like to know exactly what he did to "resist" and "force" them to pepper spray him.
Looks good for TB actually, if TPD is being this vague it's a good sign for him.

Hopefully not too long. Too talented not to play because of some stupid shite like this.

Yeah. Just yelling profanities at them isn't enough for pepper spray.

that's a stretch. You really expect the press release to quote what the cops said and how they said it?
It did say TB pulled away "resisting" officers but think they meant to say "arresting". That's when they took him to the ground and pepper sprayed him.
ETA: from what's in the report, all TB had to do was walk away (and he was given several chances) and everything would've been ok.

Most everybody in that department is a Bama fan, doubt they wanted to arrest him. Hope he learns his lesson and charges are dropped. We need him.

@AaronSuttles: Long story short: Tony Brown was at a party, his friend got arrested, he didn't like it, mouthed off, got pepper sprayed and arrested.

Indeed. In fact, depending on where you live, using their pepper spray or taser just because of something someone said (unless it was an actual threat) can be considered police brutality, but it is rare and very unlikely.
Would like to see the video.

Now if this is the case, mouthing off (again unless made a legit threat) doesn't warrant use of pepper spray, and falls under that "possibly police brutality" section.

He wasn't pepper sprayed for what he said. He was sprayed for resisting when they arrested him.

always someone in a crowd full of testosterone that wants people to look up to him for being a bad arse. TB may be that kind of guy and got his butt arrested

No, but if that is the story they're claiming, burden of proof is on them.

Least we know he's got a pair. Don't mind a mean streak at CB.

Again, how was he resisting? If he jerked away that's still no reason to pepper spray him. He's 18. The officers are grown men. No reason they can't grab his arms again. If he struck anyone sure, but pepper spraying him? Barbaric and uncalled for.

why are you defending him?

I have police friends. I don't think they're all idiots, but his actions aren't justified. I'm saying we need the whole story before we cast judgment and pepper spraying an 18 year old kid is sad.
And I'm bored and it's fun to be "that guy" on the other side of the argument.
