Series is 28-20-3 in LSU's favor.

simple math dictates that if LSU is 23-5 in the last 28 games that the numbers have to add up somewhere.

Any fan who relegates any SEC team to "always" being [top of the mountain/middle of the pack/bottom feeder] strikes me as someone who is either (a) very youthful, (b) misguided, and/or (c) just plain uninformed.

Things change. Program success is cyclical. Don't be so quick to prognosticate "forever."

Or I've watched the way the SEC has played out over the last 15 years. There's been a real separation of about 6 teams. Bama, LSU, Auburn, Florida, UGA and South Carolina. The rest have been relegated to 7-8 wins a year with an occasional 9-10 win season here and there. Right now A&M fans sound just like rFlagshippers and Ole Miss fans in every preseason the past 5 years.

What a fricking bitch comment. A&M is in no way a threat to LSU.

Speedy Noil.

We have controlled them the last 3 times we've played them 2 of which we beat the shite out of them.

Substantively true, but still pretty hyperbolic.

We continue to out recruit them

Nope.

They just lost one of the most electric college football players to ever play the game.

Just ain't fair that this is coming to the SEC West in 2015.

Definitely not. Your post was thoughtful and well-reasoned.

Do y'all really think that was a blow to the program?

Awesome. More offensive talent to puff your chest about. Meanwhile the LSU and Bama's of the world are loading up on defense.

Well now you're moving the goalposts. Of course that should be expected because your original point--that A&M is "not a threat" to LSU--falls on its face when examined.

A&M pulled the second or third best player from the state of Louisana, a kid LSU desparately wanted. If you're not "threatened" by that kind of steal, then you simply don't care about losing elite talent to A&M. But if that were the case we both know you wouldn't be here.

Neither LSU nor Bama is signing a better defensive player this year than A&M's Myles Garrett.

I'm happy to oblige. And FWIW I love the delusional stuff so keep it coming!

Auburn was a hell of a long way off this time last year, too.

But don't let that cloud your crystal ball.

Lol. Gus has won twice as many conference titles as Sumlin in 2 years as a Head Coach.

Sumlin isn't 1/100th the schemer Gus is.

From 1945–1988, LSU had the most dominant span in the series history. LSU went 20-5-1 vs. Texas A&M during this span. It currently has been 19 years since Texas A&M has defeated LSU in a football game.

This is why people shouldn't act like it was that big a deal to cancel the contract. If we hadn't then we would be dominating since 2000

How is that significant?
It isn't as if the teams have faced one another annually, 19 times, over the past couple of decades.
LSU fans--more than any other fan base--seem hellbent on tearing down others for the purpose of building up themselves.
You've got a great program; Texas A&M is rebuilding.
Some of y'all should relax and enjoy life.
We're not enemies.
