As was Ingram winning the Heisman.

Mason Averaged more yards per attempt. Even counting last year in Loeffler's garbage offense.

One of my favorite quotes is "Lies, damned lies, & statistics..."

In their careers, Mason averaged 5.8 YPC and Ingram 5.7; if you include yards from scrimmage (includes receiving yards), Ingram leads 6.2 to 6.0...and Mason actually averaged more YPC in Loeffler's "garbage offense" than he did this year (5.9 to 5.7)...

In their best years, Ingram averaged 6.1 YPC and 6.6 YFS (2009) and Mason averaged 5.7 YPC and 6.0 YFS (2013)...

Ingram deserved the Heisman in 2009 but a couple of the other finalists that year would've been equally worthy as well; there weren't any QBs that year puttin' up outlandish totals as they have in the years since...and if Mason had gotten any publicity earlier this year and Winston hadn't put up quite the numbers that he did, Mason would've been equally deserving of the Heisman this year...

Both backs had great college careers...most Bama fans will prefer Ingram and most Auburn fans Mason. Both backs put up similar numbers so statistics won't tell the tale in this case...all you can base it on is preference/opinion...
