Mason is a good back and not saying he isn't. However, his stats in a run happy offense like that is about like raving over David Klingler's passing yards,

there is just a little bit of a big difference when comparing rushing to passing

I would say more like the same reason that Army and Navy teams are constantly in the top Rush Yds/game each year. Bound to happen when you run the ball 70% of the time.
