It's not like his dad has some terminal illness or something. If he leaves for FSU that is like a giant middle finger to Bama. No guarantee he would crack their safety rotation. I don't know what they are losing at that position though.

Pretty sure he didn't get to spend a whole lot of time with his dad when he was a kid. I personally think he should go and I'll be the first to cheer for him when he picks off those ACC QBs.

You probably cheered Coach Fran on as well. I'm not going to say f ck him but seriously who would cheer for him? Especially since he finished his degree/rehabbed on Alabama's dime?

Dad shouldn't have left for a lateral move? After all his dad picked a job that wasn't a promotion over his kid already. And that was when he was getting no pass rush from his Jack/Sam and he was getting his clock cleaned on the recruiting trail.
His dad has a career too y'know, and he has to do what's best for his career since he provides for his family. Take the road you think leads to the most money down the road. Vinnie, at this point, isn't better one way or another career wise at Bama or FSU, so it'd be wrong of him not to pick his dad, imo.

So he should leave Bama where he's been a leader, has a guaranteed starting job, to go stand on the sidelines at FSU? I'm not sure who they are losing for safeties, but what's to say he is going to jump all of the other guys for a starting role.

Sounds like his role was not wanted he wanted it to be going forward (because of the emergence of Landon) and he is taking his ball and going home.

No. I didn't like Fran. I've always liked Vinnie and him leaving doesn't change that. Unless he goes to Auburn.

Because he helped us win two titles

I'm not sure what that has to do with cheering for him. I'm cheering for the football players and their football ability. I don't really care about their academics.

I don't really care about how we use our money.
This whole discussion is going nowhere. I'll keep cheering for Vinnie, you guys don't have to. We don't have to all agree.

Rumor is sal was mad at saban for putting Vinnie on special teams and chewed him out when Vinnie got hurt. Maybe there's something to it.

I dont see it as being that crazy and stupid either. Its easy to come to an obvious conclusion when you arent in that situation. Hell, if he can make 6 figures right out of school, then who can really blame him?

A player of Vinnie's limited ability needs to be thankful they got an SEC scholarship in the first place. I mean how many 3 star safeties from Pennsylvania get Alabama offers? If he wasn't Sal's kid and Trey's friend he is a Temple player.

I don't blame him if he goes to the NFL. Going to FSU would be the slap in the face.

Going to FSU would be dumb as frick unless he knows something that we don't. Lord help us if that is the case.

Exactly, going to the NFL if he feels he has maxed out his potential is fine. Going to another D1 program on the other hand?

Now this is just absolutely retarded. Go home, you're drunk.

Yeah but his dad isn't gonna see it that way. He's mad cause he feels like his son got injured because of saban and may be taking him out.

And he took a lateral move to FSU? You think we couldn't or hadn't giving him plenty?
