I doubt Alabama falls off the cliff of success.

In general, Alabama has had a top 5 program with just a few short lived dips of mediocre to bad years.

Finebaum is trolling for new crazy callers.

Bama will compete for west year in and year out.

BTW, I also think LSU and AU will be consistent competitors in the west.

Texas A&M is the sleeping giant though. Much like Florida B.S.- before Spurrier- they have enormous amounts of resources and should get plenty of talent from their home state.

Talked to a few of my Bama friends and kinfolk and certainly not saying they are the Bama majority but they are certainly no longer enthralled with Saban as they had been and believe me I know we live in a what have you done for me lately world. The point being is that each and everyone said that Malzahn laid out the blueprints on how to beat Saban and they thought with 5 weeks Saban would have had the Tide defense better prepared knowing that the Okies were going to go with HUNH and yet to them it appeared that Saban was stuck in the same defense. Anyway, not saying they are speaking for the whole Bama nation but at least for them the Honeymoon is over.

Finebaum says this shite for ratings. No way he believes this. Nick Saban will never let Alabama decline into mediocrity.

That's what I thought about Bobby Bowden, Mack Brown, Phillip Fulmer, etc too but they started to lose 3 games then eventually 4-5 games a season. SEC is so competitive it could easily happen.

If anything the blueprint was written last year against Texas A&M. Yet Alabama still managed to win a national title in 2012 and get to a BCS bowl in 2013. Even if he never recaptures the magic of 2009, 2011, and 2012, he's done his job at Alabama.

Or he could be like Bryant and Osborne and still win big late in hia career. Even go out on top.

Good. Let the circus go hang out in Florida. I quit buying tickets 3 years ago but it still hasn't left town.

this, and Finebaum is just trolling as usual to rile up the Bama fans now that Auburn is good again. Florida St may be on the rise, but that will have little effect on Alabama given the only chance they play each other is in the post season. Alabama isn't going anywhere as long as Saban is there. Their recruiting classes haven't taken a slide and don't appear to be.

Finebaum predicted Auburn to be a new national power after the 2010 season because of Chizik. They followed that up with 8-5 and 3-9 campaigns.

He is clearly a psychic.

That's because they are stupid. The moment Alabama goes a year without winning a national championship people start jumping ship. Next year, when he more than likely loses 3 games, these same friends and kinfolk of yours will probably be calling for his firing, and then praise him again when he wins 11 or 12 games in the regular season in 2015.

Granted, who knows when that could be.

I disagree. FSU has always recruited well, even when UF was on top of the world. From a recruiting stand point nothing changed. Sure, if UF has worth a damn they would have posed another obstacle for FSU on their way to this title, but FSU's team was good enough to where they would have hung or beat a good UF team.

Here's what happened: Jimbo got a gamer of a QB to run his offense. I want to see them keep up the same level of success after Jameis leaves. Then we'll talk dynasty.
