I'll still be happy with 9 to 11 win seasons for the last five or so years of his tenure. He accomplished more than I ever anticipated.

Fbaum is sure working to keep those phone lines lit up.

He's just dragging red meat in front of Phyllis' cage.

Alabama won't win the national title under Saban every single year. Somehow people think this equates to utter failure.

Alabama will be a constant top 10 team under Saban and often a national title contender.

Saban could never win another SEC or national title and will still go down as having one of the greatest runs and having a top 5 coach of all time legacy.

As for FSU, yes they appear to be primed for great things. Their recruiting is going strong, they have a good coach, and they play in a conference they can absolutely dominate.

honestly, I think this was one of Saban's better jobs. Yes,IMO the kick at the end of the Auburn game was just a stupid decision. But Alabama lost a LOT of guys going into 2013. I don't care if they are 4,5 or 6 stars, you don't just say "next" and not miss a beat.

LSU hung around for about 2 1/2 quarters but really until the Auburn game no one laid a hand on them.

Finebaum says this shite for ratings. No way he believes this. Nick Saban will never let Alabama decline into mediocrity. FSU plays in the ACC, which will allow them an easier road to the playoff, but will eventually lead to a loss if they meet an SEC team with a defense. Auburn didn't have the best defense last year and even they gave FSU along with a 6'5 receiver a pretty good whippin up front (with or without stealing plays). FSU might have some success and even win another championship or 2, but I hardly think they will rattle off 3 in 4 years.

I doubt Alabama falls off the cliff of success.

In general, Alabama has had a top 5 program with just a few short lived dips of mediocre to bad years.

Finebaum is trolling for new crazy callers.

Bama will compete for west year in and year out.

BTW, I also think LSU and AU will be consistent competitors in the west.

Texas A&M is the sleeping giant though. Much like Florida B.S.- before Spurrier- they have enormous amounts of resources and should get plenty of talent from their home state.

Talked to a few of my Bama friends and kinfolk and certainly not saying they are the Bama majority but they are certainly no longer enthralled with Saban as they had been and believe me I know we live in a what have you done for me lately world. The point being is that each and everyone said that Malzahn laid out the blueprints on how to beat Saban and they thought with 5 weeks Saban would have had the Tide defense better prepared knowing that the Okies were going to go with HUNH and yet to them it appeared that Saban was stuck in the same defense. Anyway, not saying they are speaking for the whole Bama nation but at least for them the Honeymoon is over.

Good. Let the circus go hang out in Florida. I quit buying tickets 3 years ago but it still hasn't left town.

Finebaum predicted Auburn to be a new national power after the 2010 season because of Chizik. They followed that up with 8-5 and 3-9 campaigns.

He is clearly a psychic.
