KenPom has Tennessee SOS at 29 and UF at 50. What are you basing yours off of? The fact that you list Memphis as a quality opponent is pretty telling.

Memphis lost @ #11 Oklahoma State but beat them at a neutral tournament the second time

Memphis beat LSU at a neutral site

Memphis lost to the Gators by 2 points at a neutral site (Jimmy V Classic)

Memphis played 3 Top 25 teams which is more than the Vols did.

The eyeball test

Imagine swapping the non conference schedules of Florida and Tennessee. Same for swapping Kentucky and Tennessee.

Vols 4 losses are to :
Xavier
UTEP
Wichita State
NC State

Gators 2 losses are to :
@ Wisconsin
@ Connecticut

Cats 3 losses are to:
Michigan State (in Chicago)
Baylor (in Dallas)
North Carolina (in Chapel Hill)

Study all 3 teams and you see one is not like the other 2. Vols may have a high SoS, but it is skewed by not having more teams at the top.
