They looked great tonight, lot better than I thought they would.

From what I gathered from their comments they are really good or really bad depending on the night but they may be gelling now. They looked really good tonight.

Very good, coach hitting groove, stellar recruits as always, the SEC may be a bit.... oh wait.... you mean the MEN'S team. Oh...

1st Tier: Kentucky & Florida
2nd Tier: Mizzou & Arky
3rd Tier: LSU & Bama
Tennessee is probably somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd tier.

They beat a pretty bad LSU team tonight
Too early to say anything about them yet

Basketball in tennessee is played the same as in other states. Except it is in tennessee instead of other places.

Very up and down early on. Underperformed in OOC play, but got a couple quality wins and we're in a better spot than we were in Cuonzo's first two years where we were first 4 out.
Cuonzo's M.O. has been mediocre to poor play in OOC, followed by very solid, quality basketball in league play.
KenPom has Tennessee ranked #18 in the nation. #15 in offensive efficiency, #34 defensive efficiency.
RPIForecast has Tennessee as favorites in 14 of the 17 SEC games we have remaining, which would give us a 15-3 record in league play. KenPom projects a 13-5 SEC record.

I have not seen any metrics that support Tennessee behind Arky or Mizzou. Certainly not an entire tier anyway. Most projection systems have Tennessee #3 in the league with Arkansas #4.
Both Arkansas and Mizzou are going to end up with strength of schedules north of 80 on Selection Sunday.

Just a few bad losses. I wouldn't be surprised to see them end up with a better record than both of them or a worse record. I just can't quite figure them out right now.
Cuonzo teams seem a lot like Anthony Grant's. Struggle in OCC, but end up with pretty good SEC records.

Not willing to go that far, but the last 4 games have been very encouraging. Two big-time blowouts over top 50 teams (at least before we played them

I definitely don't trust this team or staff enough to feel confident yet.

Same here. Like I said, I'm back in wait and see mode. But I really like Cuonzo. I hope Tennessee turns out to be a good NCAA tourney team.

I can agree with that. It's extremely frustrating though.
The numbers really love Tennessee, especially ones that include margin of victory. The beatdowns of Xavier, Wake, and LSU away from TBA plus the 35 point win over UVA offset the UTEP and NC State losses in those models.
But I can see where you're coming from. The team that showed up in those two games can lose to just about anybody on a given night. Way, way too talented for either of those losses to happen.

I feel the same way about us playing on the road.
All indications are that we'll be a lot better on the road based off our neutral site games thus far. But we haven't played a true road game yet, so they don't have my full confidence as of yet
