Lets be honest with ourselves here. Auburn was our last hope at stopping the momentum that the FSU program had going. Recruits are gonna look at not just the win but how they won. They are the team that ended the SEC streak. Ermons gone now imo. We got our titles when free shoes and scum were down in the gutter. This recruiting class is the most important in the Muschamp era. He better hope like hell Roper is a homerun hire and someone will step up and be the monster Easley was last year. Boys its time to nut up or shut up.

Plenty of recruits to go around. We got our first title when FSU was good and UM was coming back. Muschamp just needs to get his shite together and get this team up to its potential. Hell, I even think HE has a lot of potential if he can get out if his own damned way.

Complete falsehood that Ws & Ls determine a top recruits destination. Look at TENESSEE!!!!!!!!!!! They have been bottom of the barrel...but have been tearing it up recruiting.

As long as you have a great program (which UF has for sure) and past accomplishments recently (a lot more than UT)...you can get plenty of good recruits. Muschamp has personally recruited a lot of kids and they are impressed that he has devoted the time and effort to them. Boom can recruit and he has been in the SEC many years and knows his way around. He is refreshingly honest and down to earth to recruits and families and that's a huge advantage. Playing time is a big plus and recruits know our history and realize we are only a healthy roster away from being back in the hunt.

UF has a top 10 class lined up coming off a 4-8 year. UF is one good QB/OC combination away from winning the East and playing in an SECCG again.

I don't agree that just because FSUcks had a great year that it spells doom for us. There are plenty of great recruits to go around. We just need to get the right ones, believe it or not, not all the right players have 5 stars by their names and improve our coaching and we will be fine. The difference in a top ten recruiting class and the number one recruiting class is just a couple 5 star players.

It'll stop when JW leaves next year, anyway.

Yep. Plenty of raw talent to go around even in a state with a NC FSU, a BCS caliber UCF, and a decent Miami. It will make for more battles, but at the end of the day, the horses will be there. It will come down to which coaching staff can get all the horsepower from the flywheel to the tires, so to speak.

It's not like we have the talent of 2010-2012 tennessee right now. We've got loads of talent, we've just had misfortunate coaching on O and woeful QB play.

We've taken steps to address the former, now all we need is some semblance of adequate quarterbacking and we're back in business. We need to worry about ourselves right now instead of those clowns in tallahassee.

I was drunk when I made this post the other night. I relatively handled the 4-8 season pretty well until free shoes won the natty. For 2 days I was probably more upset then a few Auburn fans.

ESPN has pimped the girls school (you guys need to call that school by their right name) for years and bought a real lemon when they paid the acc a chunk of money about six or seven years ago to televise their games.

ESPM made the mistake of thinking the girls school plus the Univ of New Jawsey @ Coral Gables would make the acc an instant success because they would be in the hunt for BCS titles etc etc.
As we all know...the past six years have seen both schools scrape by. ESPN lost a bundle and did their best to hype every year that the girls school would be in the hunt for a BCS title onl;y see the bubble burst. This year they got lucky and the weak azz acc schedule got the girls school there along with a talented team.
Things change...last year we pounded the girls school up in Tallyban ands who knows what will happen this year. Suree, I wish we could have gotten WR Benjamin from the Glades area...but his grades were borderline from what I heard and we are tougher on academics than some schools...which is ok by me. We dont cheat on music classes

Funny thing is that ESPN has partnered with the SEC a lot more now and they televise us more than the acc.
