The reason we lost our games was inexperience at CB (2 freshmen in the Sugar Bowl) and an offensive line that was patched together throughout the season.

ETA: And Nuss coaching like a bronze medalist at the Special Olympics.

Nope. Impossible. Having young, inexperienced guys cannot be a reason for any type of struggle.

The only possible answer is that your program is in serious decline.

You went 11-2 with returning the vast majority of your team and being preseason #1. LSU went 10-3 after losing 8 JRs on Defense to the NFL. I wonder what Alabama's record would have been if you had lost 8 JRs who were starting on defense?

Get out of here with your excuses.
