The only way Alabama gets in the tournament at this point is finishing really well in the SEC regular season (top 3) with several good wins (don't see this happening) or winning the SEC tournament.
I agree it is a longshot, but there is noone else in the conference that has a shot. I think Bama at least has a small shot if they were able to get it together, still think anyone outside of UK, UF, LSU, Mizz, Tenn, and Ark would be a very big surprise.

Alabama will end up with a decent conference record but has virtually no shot at the tournament unless they win the conference tournament. They are the "unluckiest" team in KenPom right now.... that abysmal OOC record is too much for them to overcome. They are a decent team (I'm using decent pretty liberally). They will probably get some good wins in the SEC that will make whoever they beat look bad...
But they are not even close to capable of dominating SEC play as much as they will need to in order to boost their resume for the selection committee. Basically they are the SEC's wild-card because they have essentially no shot at making the tourney, but they will be a tough play (especially on the road).
Tennessee has once again been thoroughly disappointing in Non-Conference play, but I think they will make up for it in SEC play. They are good. They will finish with a very good record, and they will notch a good number of resume-building wins.
LSU is in better position than Tennessee. I haven't seen them play this year. They haven't played themselves out of the tournament, but they haven't played themselves into it either. It will really all come down to how they do in conference.
