Not entirely true. Yes we have sucked at football but we have improved in that sport a lot recently with 4 straight bowl appearances. Plus we did win the West in 98, something OM has never done (and Vandy and UK haven't won the East).
MSU was usually top half in the conference in basketball until last year, with us rebuilding under a new coach.
Overall in sports, we've had more accomplishments in the modern era than Ole Miss has in the SEC. Vandy as well.
