I've sat in far smaller seats (knoxville) and encountered far worse fans (too many to list). I'm not worried about that. Really my biggest areas of concern were:
-transportation
-lodging
-tailgating
which have all been addressed. A place to grub Friday too, but that's been addressed as well.

I will disregard everything in that post.
Much smarter than most Georgia fans...
Joking man, have been a part of Dawg Rant for years until the switch.
Do everything the opposite of my post. and now for real.
Hotel: Marriott downtown, used to be the Peabody, or the Marriott Courtyard Downtown. All of these are close enough to the river market where the flying fish, Sonny B's etc are. If ya drink, here...
Food: The Red Door, Bene Vitas are owned by Mark Abernathy, a great chef. Also Sonny Williams is good steak.
Stadium: most Arkansas fans call it the worst, the haven't been to Ole Piss or MSU lately. It isn't as bad as some make it out, but nothing close to the mothership in Fayettenam. Crowd, Rednecks partying on the golf course all day. Some great tailgates there.
Buy parking on the golf course prior to going..They go quick for SEC Games.
Tix, Call me..LOL!
And the Clinton Library isn't bad. In fact I enjoyed it twice. Not much on the blue dress in the exhibits though.
Enjoy the aptmosphere... Rowdy and loud at good games, rowdy at all games. and one more very important suggestion. Purchase the razorback seatbacks for 20 each. If you don't, you will be sitting in a 12 inch space shared by Bubba's huge wife Bertha and her 64" girth.
WPS!

Thanks for all that. Tix aren't a problem, that'll be the one thing that is already sewn up.

For years and at different times I've lived within walking distance of both stadiums (RRS & WMS). WMS is older but fine with lots of history and I've attended many events there over the decades without any bad experiences. The nicest stadium we play in is in Arlington but where the game is played has never dictated whether I go and whether I have a good time. Attended games at the old Cotton Bowl and always enjoyed the experience even though the stadium was not housed in upscale Dallas.
LR isn't a ghetto; it has good and bad parts like any other city. I never feel like I'm in the ghetto when I'm in Chenal, Heights, Edgehill, Hillcrest and the like and yes folks the stadium area isn't that bad either especially with thousands of people attending a football game. Many of us used to go to the Travelers games nearby when they played there. SWLR has gone down over the years but any of the areas you'd really want to go to aren't bad at all. I think it was already said but basically stay north of I-630; that's where pretty much everything is anyway.
The airport is small but nice and has all you need. It's only minutes from Downtown. Many frequent fliers I talk to like our airport compared to the larger ones.
Your options are to stay downtown in the River Market District at the Capital Hotel, LR Marriott or there are a couple or three others there that are good. If you like bicycling we have an Arkansas River trail that's fun to ride. Or you can stay out West at places such as Embassy Suites on Chenal which is probably what I'd do. LR has expanded westward over the years and most of your newness is out there. Either way the stadium isn't far.
Visit again before the season; new things are going on all the time. Like your sig & avi-Pink Floyd rocks.

Thanks for the suggestion but I don't really have the disposable income nor the desire to just make a random weekend trip from atlanta to little rock just for the hell of it.
I'll keep those hotel choices in mind though, thanks. And yeah, pink floyd rules!

If you've survived games at Legion Field in b'ham, going to LR for a game will be a vacation. Its a small city so getting around is no big deal at all.

Never been to a game at Legion but I've been around the stadium. Not very inviting.

No, I meant visit this board again--may have some more suggestions.

The area around War Memorial isn't bad. There are some pretty nice homes close by and mostly a lot of medical buildings. Just don't go south of I-630 (nothing to do over there anyway).

oh I gotcha
Yeah I definitely will be around.

We should discuss closer to the game. Our tailgate (shameless plug: Tusk to Tail ) has a fun tailgate in the Rock.

This has to be the most civil LR thread to have ever graced an Arkansas message board. Well done, you guys.

Ain't no doubt. I made a trip to HiV last night to check on Dale. Saw a recruiting thread about a 5* in Dardanelle. I watched his highlights and made an honest assessment saying that I didn't see it and that he lacked speed, size, burst off the line, tackling power, and didn't have good technique as he never drove through a tackle with his legs and often had trouble bring the man down on his own.
Post got deleted.

these are prob the bars youre looking for, dawg. gonna be packed and rowdy after the game. the D seems like a place you might catch an STD just by breathing, but the bartenders are great. i spent way too much time there this past decade.
