I wonder if those two things (Richt's beliefs and the quality of players we recruit) are tied together. If the kids are "troubled" with behavior issues, their parents might push them to UGA because they think CMR can help turn them around.

Meanwhile, thugs will be thugs, and while CMR might be able to change a few lives here and there, a lot of them don't want to change, and we suffer as a team.

On the other hand, if those same players go to other universities, much of their behavior may be covered up so that they don't miss playing time.

I think it's a combination of both. But I think other schools do a better job of covering these things up. I'll never forget the UF basketball players getting arrested with one of the GAs and while they're being recorded in the back seat of a police cruiser the GA starts saying "This isn't Gainesville, we're going to jail here"
