So Missouri has a better Baseball program than Arkansas is what I learned in this thread.

LSU is on the verge of being a top SEC team
not THE top SEC team
but a contender
next years class is straight dirty

Thats really good. I thought Bama was close as well but Im not so sure about that.
We need the SEC to become stronger. Its in all our best interests.
Arkansas is close, Mizzou seems to have progressed better than I had expected this year so far.
UK
Florida
Mizzou
LSU
Arkansas
Those are my Tourney teams right now. Would love to sneak one more in there

1 SEC school has multiple National Championship in football and basketball.
There isn't a school in the country that can touch the UF football-basketball combo of the last 25 years.

I'm hoping LSU will invest in the basketball program a little more, and I think we're heading in the right direction under Johnny Jones. I enjoy baseball, but basketball is where it's at for me.

Yankee talk right there. I don't blame you though. It's hard to get excited about a sport when you have 20 inches of snow on the ground and can't get outside to play it.

More like its hard to get excited by College baseball, which is equivalent to long season A ball in the minors when you have one of the greatest professional baseball organizations in the world right in the backyard.

More Yankee talk. The Rays are here.

The South loves their college ball because its all they had/have for a long long time.

The south supports college athletics better than the rest of the country as a whole. That's why college baseball is so popular.
Not specifically UF though. It's too damn hot.

Most of FL has quite nice summers compared to the interior South. I agree Gainesville is hotter than most of FL though which is kinda your point. Funny to see people think it gets that hot in Jax.

Jax rarely gets above 94. However, 94 in Gainesville, with no breeze and the oppressive humidity is downright unbearable in the sun. Foley needs to build us an air conditioned baseball dome/IPF for football. That would be

I just want an extended roof over the stadium seats to block the direct sun.

I've asked why that doesn't happen and was told it's due to field orientation. It wouldn't help. I tried to look on google maps and it looks like it might be true. We need to suck it up and give the baseball team a really nice stadium and turn it so that the fans can get some shade.
I'm not sure what the eventual solution will be though.
I was hoping they would find a way to replace the O'dome but they went with renovations instead.

LOL ok chief well we've done that better than a majority of the SEC as well and done it better than Arky has since the turn of the century (Mizzou 9 NCAA tourney wins since the year 2000, Arky just 1). We are competitive in hoops under your criteria and have been a lot more competitive in it recently than you have. Again, fairly straightforward.
Is basketball that new sport invented on Jan 1, 2000?

I'm a Braves fan and have been since a small child....but if given the choice, I would sit at Baum Stadium with 11-12k fans any day over watching my favorite MLB team.
Can't beat the atmosphere IMO.
