Damn this is some stupid shite right here. I pretty much saw plenty of Heisman hype talk from many LSU fans about Mett. 3 losses later and you want to say AJ is the over hyped player?

Well Mett>AJ and AJ is going to NY. You figure out who is more overrated between the two

One of them is Mark Ingram.

This may be a good one. Freak Johnson would be a better pick imo. You would have thought the Hulk was suiting up for LSU and it turned out to be the Marshmallow man.

Ingram won the heisman, but he was a really good player that year. He was overrated, yes, but he was still one of the best backs in the country at the time imo. You could make a case McCarron is the 4th or 5th best QB in this conference this year.

He was maybe the 3rd or 4th best back.. maybe.. he wasn't even the best back in the SEC.

I don't need to figure it out. You are the one saying it. I disagree.

Care to explain? I'm by no means a Bama fan, but its hard to put a Heisman winner as most overrated.

Good pick as well. Never made any real impact at all. More overrated than Ingram, less than AJ imo

Definitely the most overrated recruit.. I remember watching him in the Under Armour game and the announcers were going nuts over him... Even then I wondered how LSU was going to get him the football cause he wasnt going to play QB, didnt have the build to play RB and the scouts said he had suspect hands... By suspect they meant his hands were made of concrete that had been soaked in vegetable oil.

207 completions
306 attempts
67.6%
8.75 YPA
26 TDs
5 INTs

195 completions
296 attempts
64.9%
10.41 YPA
22 TDs
8 INTs

One of these you'd laugh at being in the Heisman discussion, the other one is a finalist.

Is it AJ McCarron? I think so.

Dude has been billed as an all time great. To me he's nothing more than a good QB. Lets face it, he plays for Alabama. They have more talent than anyone in the country, and they have the best coach to go with it. Alot of QB's could do what he does.

Sweet. So Bama will be just as good or better next season since no letdown from losing a great qb.

LINK

Heisman winner came in 10th in ypg rushing. 4th in total yards (he played in a 14th game compared to 12/13 for most backs). Only scored 17 TDs, 271 carries.

Comparison.. Jeremy Hill this season had a vastly better ypc, 14 TDs on 175 carries.

If they get Coker, probably. Remember when y'all lost McElroy? This is a testament to how good Bama really is

Good choice.

I remember LSU fans saying he would be great, and some wanted him to start as a freshman.

We were way off on Freak. I always wanted him to play more, even in 2011 with Brockers and Logan. Looking back, that was incredibly dumb
