Only an hour and a half huh...strong selling point. Also saying you are close to a city with things to do isn't exactly proving that there are things to do in College Station.

How close is ANY Mississippi school to a city with over two million people?

I bet not as close as A&M is to two.

Also from ATL and an Ole Miss fan:

If you want great Tex Mex, try:
Nuevo Laredo. It's the closest you'll get to Tex/Mex in ATL.

If you want BBQ (Texas style) try:
Fox Brothers BBQ

If you drink too much and need to take your wife to a nice dinner, try:

BistroNiko or Anis Café or Del Frisco's Grille in Buckhead. For upscale steakhouse; Bones

Hotels: You definitely want to stay ITP (Inside the Perimeter) for the full experience. Three areas that are on the MARTA (yes, it's safe and efficient) line are downtown/Centennial Park area. This area is closest to the stadium. Lot's of business convention type hotels but the W is nice.

Midtown: features lots of bars for the younger crowd. Loews Hotel is very nice.

Buckhead: Stay there for a wealthier, older crowd. Plus you have Lenox and Phipps Malls for shopping for the wife.
