Yes, but I'm trying to differentiate between the long standing arm over head fair catch signal and the newer "any arm movement" that college has used the past few seasons.

Gotcha. What the auburn player did was obviously no where near what is called for by the rule.

It wasn't the waving of arms to clear Auburn players from the ball. It was a quick raised hand to shield his eyes from the sun that was called as the fair catch.
