Don't be so sure he's dead. The blade went through clean, but clearly missed his heart or he'd a been dead instantly. The girl took a shot, but they didn't show you where it hit. Was she mad enough to kill him? Or was she only mad enough to consider it only to change her mind because she didn't want to be alone? I think the latter. I don't think we've seen the last of the Governor.
Also, Morgan (the black guy that saved Rick in the first episode and was later found holed up in his own fortified "compound" exterminating walkers and going crazy) will be reappearing in the second half of the season. Should be fun!

Just watched last two episodes....had them recorded and was avoiding this thread like the plague.
Dammit....they're killing off all the interesting characters. First Shane and now the gov......right when he was getting interesting. I figured Herschel's time was limited . Also figured they would get forced from the prison eventually....you can't let the protagonists get too comfortable.
FWIW....a barrier island is the perfect haven from the zombie apocalypse. I've seen no evidence of them swimming......yet.
