I see what you are saying, and I see what he is saying.

Saban definitely should have been prepared for that scenario. No matter if it was in the first half, or the end of the game, that is something that should have been covered by the coach. Gus sure was prepared for it.

But I wouldnt have guessed in a million years that that was how the game was going to end.

Truly mind blowing.

And who is to stay he wasn't? There was a kick returner in the end zone awaiting Griffith's field goal attempt. I'm pretty sure Saban would have told his players to be prepared to tackle the returner if Griffith came up short. The field goal unit fanned out...they just missed the tackle. That's not Saban's fault.
