That one is slipping away after he had a great official to TCU.

SIAP but Parker to OU even though AU gave it a helluva shot. Per AUC a couple days ago Texas was all out to Keep Bonney. Makes flip chance slim but if there is a flip Baylor has a better shot.

Both were long shots from the start and if we made them think late in the process, the coaches did a pretty good job on them.

I think he would be the best player we signed if he picked us

He's gonna be a first round draft pick

Buncha Auburn folks need to just step away from their computers for a few days.
On all AU message boards. Just because we are free to express ourselves does not mean it's always wise to express ourselves.

He is one of my biggest wants in this class. We really need a big time high school lineman in this class and we don't have it. That big class of linemen a couple years ago is great on paper but it is going to be hell to replace if we don't start bringing in guys to work in rotation. I actually want Smith more than Evans and that is saying something.

I still believe we have a good shot, but it is not as solid as RE coming to AU.

KN says he thinks Treon goes somewhere other than FSU and that it might be an AU/Miami/UF fight

Is Harris being talked about as a potential quarterback or more as a db?

FWIW per Hoke LINK

-None of Saturday's events will change what Evans thinks. (Not Sure if he includes the Sunday morning melt downs in that.)
-RE did not leave the party and spend time w/ RF contrary to reports.
-He did hang w/ 2 AU commits for 2 hours though. (My guess is Roberts and Mitchell.)
-As of Friday RE told other recruits his heart was with AU but it was a tough decision.
-Staff still feels AU leads but yesterday's drama did not clear things any.
-know both Parents want RE at AU but will not push.

Recruited as an ATH that will get a shot at QB. The staff can see him at WR or DB but leaning to WR.

Harris seems like kind of an odd fit for our class.

At QB, its hard to see him beating out White. At DB, he's not going to beat out Ruffin/Roberts/Bessent or Bonney/Parker if they come. At WR, he seems like a pretty similar player to Truitt, though a bit taller.

So what niche does he fill here? The 2nd QB, 3rd corner, 2nd (HS) safety, 2nd slot receiver... Competition is nice, but not sure how much he'd be playing.

Chad Simmons and John Garcia of Scout.com, switched their Evans pick to Auburn today. They had listed bama for the last few weeks. I think Garcia has some contacts on bama's staff.

He's a 4* talent that has versatility. Don't sell his talent and ability short. Dude can play as much as anyone in our class.

Are you serious? Treon is the qb and best athlete on one of the best hs teams in america. They destroyed norc4oss, GA state champs. We want him. He will be the most athletic player in the class imo. He will find a way to contribute. Think Percy Harvin

Percy Harvin just won a Super Bowl and is incomparable to anybody on a football field..let's not go that far.
