Point us to where we played OM during Sherman's years

Last year, some were saying that Muschamp was the best up and coming coach in the SEC. That hasn't turned out very well.
I do think that Gus is a very good coach but, his spread offense won't work all that well unless he has a cam Newton QB which are few and far between.
Sumlin is average at best.

I don't remember that. Your better parallell to draw would be that no one really understands how either of those teams won 10 games...and look what happend to muschamp this year.

We wouldn't know unless we played, but I still doubt it. Mike Sherman beat a few ranked opponents in his day. Sure he lost to a couple of clunkers and threw some games away late, but they weren't Black Bear bad.

The point still stands. Manziel would have run that one in. Joeckel overthrew a wide open tight end.
Manziel throwing to Nehemiah Hicks - 2 yard TD
Joeckel throwing to Nehemiah Hicks - overthrows by 10 yards

he lost to a lot of big 12 teams. I'd venture to say that ole miss then and now likely could have handled those dregs of football.

Manziel would have
fumbled and auburn would have gone the other way thus taking control of the game.
My crystal ball sees something different.

Ole Miss last year's largest margin of defeat was to a Big 12 team, was it not?

That 2008 team that went 4-8 could have easily been 1-11.
Turned a 28-6 lead vs. New Mexico to a 28-22 lead with New Mexico driving at the end.
Only beat Army 21-17 and needed a 4th down stop deep in A&M territory to seal the victory.
Scored 21 unanswered points in the second half to beat Colorado.
Won 49-35 in a shootout over Iowa State.
The only other game that was close was the 18-14 loss to Arkansas State in which A&M led 14-3 at halftime.

got me...i don't follow the big 12 or ole miss.
I just like being a blow hard saying that the big 12 sucks and i expect ole miss could have handled some of those teams.

That one win would have been to Ole Miss if they were on the schedule.
