And if the Alabama job had """NOT""" been open when Saban decided to arbitrarily contact his assistants on the intercom that he was quitting?
Where would he be? At whatever college job was open at the time, that's where.
He's just incredibly fortunate that the Bama job was open at the same exact time that he was being crucified and vilified in Miami. (Google Randy Vataha's comments, among others.)
"I don't know how else I can say it, how many times I can tell you guys, I am not going to be the head coach at Alabama."
What pure smooth class and integrity.

I don't think swamp kittens can really get upset about lucking in to Saban. If LSU didn't fall arse backwards in to the greatest coach of all time, their national championship drought would still be longer than Ole Miss's.
