As the Orlando Sentinel reported, Foley is still on board with Muschamp. However, Gene Chizik was told this same thing by Auburn last year after winning a BCS Title and then was fired when boosters began putting too much pressure onto school to make a change. Could this happen again with Florida and Muschamp?

I have no idea. I know one major booster, and he's not been in favor of Muschamp for 3 straight years. And this guys family is the biggest booster of them all. So I guess the answer to your question is no. Foley seems to be all in with Muschamp.

Muschamp deserves another year, no question, but he should start fresh with new offensive coaching staff. They suck.

Anyhow, here's to hoping the Gators beat FSU.

Your post sir doesn't enlighten and doesn't provide insight...its only wishful thinking on your part. Why not just title it "I wanna fire Muschamp" and get it over with?

Be careful what you wish for...as front page of ESPNU relates...Brady Hoke is now on the proverbial hotseat after 3 years at Meatchicken (sorry Chicken)and he replaced another dud in Rodriguez.

Lets look at FACTS: I counted six linebackers either already out yesterday or injured early on and out of the game...including 2 starters...that's mind boggling. LBs are crucial to defenses and one only has to look at 2007 Gators with Tebow and a strong offensive team that had only two defensive starters return from 2006 BCS team...we had two LBs with very limited snaps, Doe and Spikes and they took their lumps while we lost four games. They weren't the only defensive players with inexperience...because we had DL leave almost in mass for NFL after the 06 title game.

But ok...we have played poorly in a lot of phases of the game...but up until recently our defense waws stout and when we played UGA we were ranked # 5 in total defense in the country. Durkin is bright and will be HC some day soon...but Muschamp is the leader of our defense and he has had us play hardnose...except for Mizzou game where we got bullied. Now...in spite of that we fire Muschamp and WHO replaces him? We owe Boom 18 large ones and that's a lot of cheese. Hire someone else and believe me they will demand 4-5 yr contract to deal with Fla fans...and we will be stuck with whatever product hits the field because we cant pay both of them the kind of jack they will be getting. Get a stud HC somewhere and we will be hocked up to our nostrils at at least 4 mil per or more.
I think Foley is very wise about money and has to be. Sure...the faucet is being tighten and seats will go empty some...but next Sept rolls around and we play like I think we can/will...the seats will fill up pronto.
Our next problem is recruiting...which can be still be strong but we must be careful not to send recruits into others arms by the method of what we do with our OC.

I could see Booms look at the post game presser and his distaste for lack of any firepower on offense....but he has to also look at where we are at...3rd string qb not ready to play and a second stringer ditto. Almost every team in the SEC would be hard pressed to win games with 3rd stringer at qb. The decision will rest with him and he needs to reflect and make the right moves if any....we cannot afford another learning period and have confusion on offense. We cannot make wholesale changes to offense with fans unrest....not the time to tear down and rebuild the entire machine?

I agree with most of your post except this, WE LOST TO A 6-4 FCS SCHOOL that had given up multiple games of 400+ yards and themselves had lost 19 players of their 65 scholarships.

Somebody has to go!

UF will see loss of revenue, is already seeing loss of revenue. UF will lose recruits, is already losing recruit because of this.

somebody has to go!
