Targeting is specifically "above the shoulders". If you think that was above the shoulders, I don't know what to tell you.

That was above the shoulders.

Does it fit the targeting rule? Let's see - he doesn't extend his arms, he launches his body, he hits the player above the chest. Yup! That's the definition of targeting - unless your Bama.

"No player is permitted to initiate contact and target a defenseless opponent above the shoulders".

Texas A&M just left a conference two years ago with a team that got favorable calls or non-calls ALL the time. I felt like the flag wasn't thrown to protect Bama's #1 ranking. Period.

I think there was clearly helmet to helmet contact on that play.
