The safest bet for the Heisman people

at this point would be to give the award to AJ McCarron. Clean cut, All-American type guy with a babe for a girlfriend and a MILF. They can't give it to Jameis Winston with sexual assault accusations hanging over his head. Imagine the damage done to the award if they gave it to him knowing these accusations were out there, then later it they were proven true. Then, Johnny is out there with his shenanigans. Give it to the guy who's the ultimate team player who will wind up with four National Championship rings. A QB for a team winding up with four national championship rings. Will that EVER be repeated? Very unlikely.

The point was made. Besides, there should be a couple more pick six gifs from Marshall after this weekend.

For real. It would be nice to win another this year, but if we have to wait until next year and make it 3 out of 5, so be it. We'll survive.

AJ actually has some impressive stats too.
His TD to INT ratio is really good.
His completion % is high.
He is not "dynamic" running the ball, but neither are Tom Brady, Drew Brees, or Peyton Manning.
All that said, many voters will go with "style" over "substance".
He is surrounded by great players so I'm sure some voters will discount some of his playmaking.
If I had a vote, AJ, Manziel and Mike Davis would be the 3 on my ballot.

Give it to the BYU QB or one of the Service Academies QB/RB, based on your selection criteria. A QB that throws for 179 yards in his biggest game of the year should not be in the conversation. Giving it to Ingram when he had 5 games under 100yards was bad enough.
