This was from January. Sexton and Saban are adding the "pressure" to make it somewhat real for more money.

The thing is Texas has so much money they may just go off the rail. Hell ESPN is one of their investors, and they had the most $$ before that.

They will cost Bama alot IMHO. Texas could go frick it. 8 mil 6 yr. or 10 mil. They would recoup it and they have it.

Texas is attractive though because he could pile up NCs. 1 game conference and you are in the 4.

But does he have the energy at his age to redo an entire system.

Also - pressure at Bama. Does he want to go out on top or risk a couple of 9-3s which will finally come.

Who knows

It's so obvious this is a play. But let the rantards go; it's fun to get their hopes up and it's awesome how much they want it to be true

Yeah, this seems like a cash grab to me. Texas is the only university capable of outbidding Alabama for Saban's services. They're the only program that Sexton can use as real leverage to get the money from Bama that he wants.

This is just absolute and utter bullshite.

The man could go without anything like the success he's already enjoyed and he'd remain a God in T-Town long after he decided to retire.

Bama fans were humbled by the lost decade.

If there's pressure, it's entirely self imposed. HE brought "the process." HE sets the "standard of excellence."
