Galveston County has had some hit in the past but nothing like the publicity it is getting this year. Its a relatively small county with some good schools, La Marque, Texas City, Dickinson, etc.

This year we have 2 studs representing our county.

Michael Sam - Mizzou from Hitchcock High School (my high school)

Mike Evans - A&M from Galveston Ball High

This county is mostly known for its basketball players but glad to see it making a splash in football especially in the SEC.

Their beach is disgusting. An embarrassing blight on an otherwise gorgeous gulf coast

Ernest Payton from MU is also from Galveston. But finished high school in College Station.

I would have never imagined that someone would have mentioned my hometown, Dickinson, TX, on the rant. Bookmark this shite.

Other Galveston County aggies playing on our awesome defense:

Clay Honeycutt S - Dickinson
Donnie Baggs LB - League City (Clear Springs HS)
Howard Mathews S - League City (Clear Springs HS)

Trivia question. What heisman trophy winner hails from Dickinson?
