Posted by weagle99 In Auburn's case we are on our 3rd coach since Saban arrived. I fully believe Gus the right guy to go up against Saban though.
I believe this to be delusional. Just a few games this year,( and not even played Bama yet) had convinced you of this?

They don't give Rings for consistently having Championship level teams, but doing this in the SEC might be one of Saban's best accomplishments. It's very tough to do with so many other top programs chasing you in the SEC. I know this Bama run will come to an end eventually, but if it continues another 2+ years it will go down as one of the best runs ever. Especially when considering the parity in today's CFB landscape. Over the years, Saban surely has perfected building & running a program.

Gus has a very high attention to detail and appears to administer quick discipline when needed. When he was at Auburn as OC he lived in his office, and I am guessing he still works just as hard.

So yes, I am optimistic about his chances against Saban.
