Well you have a lot more caravan fans now is probably the main reason. When I was at bama, Roll Tide was still yelled all the time and we f'ing sucked (2000-2004). I remember when fights would almost break out at bars and people would play peacemaker by saying "Roll Tide?" to each sides and it'd dissolve.

They also feel the need to wear bama stuff to games where bama isn't playing.

The only time I generally say roll tide to a member of another teams fanbase is if I know them and are fricking with them. Otherwise the only ppl I say that to are other Alabama fans.

The bandwagon sidewalk contingent that forms anytime a team has an enormously successful run usually becomes the most obnoxious part of the "fanbase"
