Competition - Yes. Facilities - NO. He now has some of the best facilities in the country outside of total capacity at DWS.

at best Miss State is #6 in the SEC West and #10 in the SEC as a whole facility wise.

so yea, they are behind in terms of who they compete against for recruits.

West
1 Bama
2 LSU
3 A&M? I don't really know anything about your facilities other than Kyle, which should be better after renovation, does your practice facilities really line up with State's new 25 million dollar facility? Probably not, just because ours was just finished and we wouldn't have built something that was already behind.
4 Auburn - Better stadium, but does their practice facilities really line up with State's new 25 million dollar facility? Probably not, just because ours was just finished and we wouldn't have built something that was already behind.
5. State (No doubt here)
6. Ole Miss/Arkansas - (State's stadium will be better after construction and practice facility is better.)

As far as the East, I would go with the same explanations other than the stadiums.

Even if you're 10th in the SEC, that's still easily top 25 in the country.
